I’m honored to support Charis because their impact is real. They help women recover from eating disorders and see themselves with the dignity and love their heavenly Father has for them.”

Foresight is donating construction services for the project, furthering our commitment to serving communities through projects that improve lives. “I’m honored to support Charis because their impact is real. They help women recover from eating disorders and see themselves with the dignity and love their heavenly Father has for them,” said Juan Segarra, President and CEO of Foresight Construction Group. “Partnering with Charis allows us to be part of an initiative that provides life-saving care and creates a place of healing for so many.”

About Charis Eating Disorder Care

Founded by Amie Shields and inspired by her own recovery journey, Charis Eating Disorder Care began as a blog and has since grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing compassionate, faith-based treatment and support. Today, Charis offers residential and partial hospitalization treatment, outpatient services, and recovery retreats in a safe and supportive environment.

Through The Charis House, a residential facility for women, the organization focuses on helping those facing eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED), and related co-occurring disorders. Each treatment plan is customized to meet the unique needs of every individual, ensuring patients are guided through the Charis treatment process: Restore, Restory, and Refresh.

A Vision for the Future

“We’re lifting more than just dirt today. We’re creating space for life, hope, and healing. This new therapy suite will be a place where women are seen, supported, and surrounded with the care they need. Every step forward is for the women who are here now and those still waiting for help,” said Amie Shields, founder of Charis Eating Disorder Care. “Partnering with Foresight is a dream realized—they understand the heart behind this project and are helping bring that vision to life. Together, we’re creating a place where stories of restoration and transformation can unfold.”

The Jacksonville team will work to create a 312-foot-wide firing line with 30 individual shooting stations and an observation guard tower. The facility will also have enclosed restrooms and paved parking. The project will include a new access road from County Road 213 to enter.

This facility will provide CCSO a place to conduct training as well as provide citizens with a safe place for firearm training and shooting.
