Tampa International Airport,
Air Cargo UPS Expansion Building
Tampa, FLORIDA
The UPS Air Cargo Expansion Warehouse at Tampa International Airport stands as a modern, high-performing logistics facility designed to support the growing demands of air cargo operations. This 38,000 SF pre-engineered metal building was strategically developed to balance office, warehouse, and maintenance functions, providing a streamlined environment for both administrative and operational needs.
The program includes a 5,000 SF office fit-out paired with a 33,000 SF warehouse. Within the warehouse, a dedicated maintenance shop was integrated to allow on-site equipment servicing, improving operational efficiency by reducing downtime and centralizing essential support functions under one roof.
Functionally, the building’s design maximizes workflow: the east side is dedicated to truck deliveries, while the west side directly supports cargo loading for aircraft. This intentional layout ensures smooth logistics and seamless coordination between ground and air transport.
Constructed on an active airport campus and adjacent to an existing maintenance facility, the project demanded meticulous planning and coordination. The Foresight team worked with precision to maintain uninterrupted airport operations while meeting strict safety and security requirements. The result is a facility that not only enhances UPS’s cargo capacity but also strengthens the overall efficiency of operations at Tampa International Airport.
Lane Avenue Warehouse
Gainesville, Florida
This project included the development of a 27-acre, fully wooded site, the new construction of a 160,000-square-foot tilt wall industrial warehouse, and readying a building pad for an additional 160,000-square-foot warehouse. The building elevation is thirty-five feet, there are dock-high doors, a concrete truck court, and parking that is expandable to 468 autos.
