Constructing Hope: Foresight and Whiting-Turner Partner to Construct Speros’ Moffitt Research Building in Pasco County
Foresight, a leader in construction management in the Tampa, FL region, is proud to announce its partnership with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company as part of the construction management team for Moffitt Cancer Center‘s primary research facility located in the innovative Speros development. Named after the Latin verb “sperare,” which means “to hope,” Speros is poised to revolutionize cancer research and healthcare innovation in Pasco County, across Florida, and beyond.
Speros represents more than just bricks and mortar; it is a symbol of progress and possibility. Upon completion, the 775-acre campus will consist of 500 developed acres, 140 buildings, a hub for lab, manufacturing, and clinical space, and private businesses. The campus is estimated to employ 14,000 Moffitt team members.
Speros’ first tenant will be none other than Moffitt with its estimated $200M main research building. Foresight, alongside the Whiting-Turner team, have been selected to deliver preconstruction and construction management services for the execution of this 250,000 SF facility.
