Jacksonville and Southeast Region Poised for Significant Growth
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., September 13, 2021 – Foresight, a diversified construction management firm, has added Kevin Shields to its leadership team as vice president of the Jacksonville market. The Jacksonville office handles a broad range of projects across the Southeastern United States with a focus on Northeast Florida and the Caribbean, spearheading the majority of the firm’s Department of Defense jobs from this location.
The Jacksonville management move with Kevin Shields is the latest example of Foresight President and CEO Juan Segarra’s commitment to intentional growth. Choosing a vice president with deep roots in the construction business and a clear dedication to this community will put both Foresight and Jacksonville on the path to greater growth and success.
“Jacksonville, Duval County and the surrounding regions are experiencing strong growth across multiple sectors, from healthcare to education, industrial, housing, military needs and more,” said Kevin Shields, vice president, Foresight. “We are seeing similar growth opportunities in many other parts of the Southeast and in the Caribbean. Some projects that were on hold due to coronavirus are moving ahead, and we are also assisting clients with new design approaches that account for the virus. This includes implementing surfaces that are less likely to proliferate viruses, and creating spaces that allow for social distancing and a safer flow of people through buildings. What I’m most proud of is the broader positive impact our projects have on people’s lives, which is very rewarding. Our clients provide spaces that help improve quality of life, whether through healthcare, education or other beneficial offerings to communities.”
Kevin has more than 17 years of construction experience in Jacksonville, including expertise with projects in the healthcare sector. He’s held nearly every position in the industry, so he understands needs and people throughout an organization, whether internally or on the client side. He will focus his efforts to identify, win and profitably execute projects, expand Foresight’s brand presence and facilitate sustained success for the organization. In addition to being an industry leader, Kevin is a community leader who serves as the Vice President of Bring Your Brokenness, Inc., and is involved in multiple professional associations including the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) First Coast Chapter, Urban Land Institute (ULI) North Florida Chapter, Florida Healthcare Engineering Association (FHEA) – District II, Florida Coast Manufacturers Association (FCMA), and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE).
“We’re extremely pleased and fortunate to have Kevin leading our Jacksonville market,” said Juan Segarra, President and CEO of Foresight. “With his leadership, we are on the right track and poised for significant growth in the coming years.”
